A couple months after their split, Ariana moved on and starting dating a new man – Daniel Wai.

Who is Daniel Wai?

Daniel Wai is a personal trainer and fitness coach based out of New York City.

In addition, Daniel also opened up the Little More bar in NYC as a co-owner back in 2024.

When did Ariana and Daniel meet?

Ariana and Daniel met at a mutual friend’s wedding in Mexico in March 2023. They were then spotted kissing at Coachella the next month, and have been together ever since!

While he is based in NYC and she’s based in Los Angeles, they travel back and forth to spend time together.

“He is so incredible. He’s so smart. He’s so supportive. He’s so cute. He’s just constantly in my corner,” Ariana told People previously about what makes their long distance relationship worth it.

“And he’s someone that I look up to and I feel like would be—if someone were to have told me five years ago before I ever met him I’m dating this guy, I’d be like, ‘Wow,'” she added. “I would love him for anyone because he is so amazing and so what makes it worth it is just that time I get to spend with him.”

Ahead of the Love Island USA season, Ariana shared an update about their relationship while appearing on her friends’ podcast Disrespectfully.

“He’s going to come over my birthday [which is June 24] again, which I feel like is a good time to come to Fiji,” she said. “So, he’s coming to LA to basically help me pack and get ready, and then he’ll send me off and then he’s going to come to Fiji over my birthday, which yeah, I feel like it works out well because in the beginning it’s super super busy.”

She continued, “We shoot the intro, there’s all the stuff that we have to do like leading up to the premiere and then that premiere week, I’m usually in there a lot. So, it’s like the premiere night, usually maybe if there’s some sort of twist, that first after sun like that first week can be pretty hectic. So, the first time that he came out, we realized that wasn’t really the best time.”

“He’s gonna come out around my birthday for like two weeks, I think. And that’ll be fun,” Ariana said. “But both of us have been kind of splitting our time back and forth between here and New York. So, wouldn’t even consider us to be long distance really at this point. So, that’s been really nice, ’cause he’s here a lot.”

The Love Island USA host got candid in a new interview with Bustle about reality TV ahead of the Season 8 premiere of her hit series.

During the conversation, she addressed her exit from Vanderpump Rules and the Scandoval that broke the Internet three years ago, as well as what advice she gave to Summer House‘s Ciara MIller and future Love Island residents.

On supporting Ciara Miller:

“I did a spot for Sonic with Ciara Miller this year, and we’ve talked a little about navigating that kind of moment. I reminded her that she is the prize, she is the moment, and when she’s navigating brand deals, they need her more than she needs them: You have the power, so don’t ever feel like you don’t.”

On her early days on Vanderpump Rules:

“There were a lot of people in my life, including my boyfriend at the time, who hated reality TV and felt very passionately that everyone who does it is trash.”

On leaving Vanderpump Rules:

“I knew going into it that Season 11 was going to be my last season on Vanderpump, but it still took a long time for me to realize how it was affecting the way I thought, the way I interacted with friends. I’d find myself not trusting people: Are they making fun of me? Are they going to twist this?”

On handling the aftermath of Scandoval:

“My team and I decided there was only going to be one, maybe two, things that referenced anything having to do with what was happening around the show that year – and that would be it. I’ve still never even spoken it by name.”

On the fast pace of Love Island:

“So many episodes will end on a cliffhanger, and I’m always wishing the audience would have more patience before jumping down someone’s throat. They’ve got the pitchforks out and have decided this person is wrong, and I’m like, ‘Just wait for the next episode! You’ll see that everything works out fine!’”

On the piece of advice she’d give future Love Islanders: “Honestly, start therapy now. And I don’t mean that reality TV is going to f*ck up your brain. I just think the sooner you start therapy, the more prepared you’re going to be for anything that comes at you. You’ll come out on the other side less scathed – plus, you’ll be able to talk about your feelings in a more concise way.”

Three years after their shocking split, TMZ revealed on Friday (May 9) that the sale of the farmhouse in the Valley Village neighborhood of Los Angeles had closed. Ariana, 40, and Tom, 43, sold the house to new owners for $3.1 million.

The two dated for nine years before their split in March 2023 after he cheated on her with their close friend and Vanderpump Rules co-star Rachel “Raquel” Leviss. After their split, Ariana and Tom both continued living in the house, in separate rooms, before finally putting it up for sale. Ariana moved out of the house in May 2023.

Back in January of 2024, Ariana sued Tom and requested a “partition by sale,” meaning she wanted a judge to order the couple to sell the house and share the proceeds. He rejected it via legal documents. While Tom wanted to continue living in the house, Ariana demanded that they sell it.

Ariana and Tom purchased the property in 2019 for $2 million.

In March, it was revealed that Lisa Vanderpump put her West Hollywood bar TomTom up for sale. She opened the bar in 2018 with Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz as minority partners.

On Tuesday (January 13), the former couple reached an agreement as Ariana filed a notice of settlement in LA Superior Court, via Us Weekly.

The settlement is described as “conditional,” requiring “satisfactory completion of specified terms” within 30 days of the date of the settlement.

They are set to meet on February 5 for a final time.

If Tom doesn’t meet the terms, then they’ll be heading to trial on February 17, Page Six notes.

Ariana‘s appearance on the show was first announced back in August, revealing she would play Dr Emerson.

“Ariana’s just a pro. She is an actor who happens to also be successful as a host,” the show’s creator Eric Ledgin recently told The Wrap “She’s fantastic and she’s coming back for a couple more this season past that first one. I might not be allowed to tell you that, but I just did.”

In the first look clip, seen here, Ariana appears frustrated as Dr Bruce (Josh Lawson) calls her out of surgery and tries to get back together with her Dr Emerson.

In this cheeky iteration, romance will meet reality as the Islanders are faced with both team and couples’ challenges, all while navigating dating, eliminations, recoupling, dramatic arrivals, and new competition twists and turns that help control the game like never before.

Ariana Madix is hosting with UK comedian Iain Stirling as the narrator. Maura Higgins will return as host of the weekly recap show, Love Island Aftersun with surprise guests dropping in throughout the season.

New to the format this season, viewers will be able to watch their favorite international Islanders in real time, similar to Love Island USA. This means they will also be able to vote for their favorite couples via the Love Island USA app to determine which Islanders will recouple, who will remain in the villa, and who goes home heartbroken.

The second season debuts on Peacock on Tuesday, September 16 with new episodes airing every day at 6 p.m. PT/9 p.m. ET during premiere week. Episodes will stream Thursdays through Tuesdays thereafter.

“I feel like throughout the day I learned a lot from [Andy] and his ability to take charge,” Ariana shared with the publication. “And not so much necessarily take charge just with the islanders, but take charge just of what was going on. And I learned a little bit like, ‘Oh I’m allowed to do that,’ which is great.”

Ariana shared that the two of them had “a lot of fun” putting the islanders in the hot seat as the co-hosts of the reunion. She said that even though she felt “bad” about putting them in the hot seat, she reminded herself it was just part of the job.

“But I also feel like something I remind myself of is that it’s a tough question, but it’s also an opportunity for the islander to give — it’s usually a question that the audience has been asking,” Ariana explained. “So it’s their moment, their opportunity to explain how they feel, how they felt in the moment. So it’s a tough question and it’s a hard subject sometimes, but it is something that allows them to express more deeply how they feel.”

In season 2 of St. Denis Medical, “after receiving a large, private donation, hospital administrator Joyce (Wendi McLendon-Covey) bites off more than she can chew, while her employees navigate staff shortages, office conflicts, and their own personal lives,” per the logline.

The 57-year-old TV personality and Watch What Happens Live host opened up on SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live about co-hosting the upcoming reunion with Ariana Madix.

“I’m coming in cold to Love Island just as a fan, which by the way, talk about being able to live your fantasy. Just imagine being able to watch a whole series, and then you have the privilege to host the reunion and they say, ‘You and Ariana are gonna do it together,’” Andy said. “I just think her tone is so right and it’s so great.”

“We should basically create like a mini movie in which actors treat this as canon and get up and perform it with all the passion and virtuosity of Shakespeare,” Lena explained her idea on the podcast. “I went so far as to abuse Andy Cohen‘s contact information to pitch him the idea.”

Lena went on to say that she imagined casting Jennifer Lawrence as Ariana and Andrew Scott as Tom.

“I want to take these words and direct them like it’s really serious theater,” she said on the episode.

It was also announced that there will be a new host – Love Island USA‘s Ariana Madix will take over from season one host Maya Jama.

Ariana spoke to TheWrap on Monday (June 30) and had this to say about fans who think the show is rigged: “You can have whatever opinions you want to have about the show itself, but I will tell you: Don’t you start making up conspiracies. I’m not a conspiracy theorist, so I’m the debunker.”

According to Ariana, the cast being hesitant to make romantic connections can be chalked up to the fact that the average age skews younger this season. She said, “When they say online that Gen Z is a little bit more reserved or nervous to be considered cringe, I did notice that.”

She went on to share that even if someone in the villa tries to get ahead on the show, viewers at home ultimately decide their fate.

“If America does feel a certain way about certain Islanders, they do get their say. So if someone is trying to super gamify everything, and if they find out that they’re in the bottom, they’ll be like, ‘Wait, oh,'” Ariana said, referring to the online voting in the final weeks of the season.
