Nicole Kidman Explains Why She Was Grossed Out by Kissing Alexander Skarsgard in ‘Big Little Lies’
Alexander Skarsgard is one of the hottest guys in Hollywood, but Nicole Kidman was grossed out when she had to kiss him in season one of Big Little Lies.
The Oscar-winning actress opened up about what happened while appearing on the Las Culturistas podcast, hosted by Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers.
Nicole was asked about a pet peeve and she revealed the one she can’t stand, plus how it connects to Alexander.

“I cannot stand bad breath,” Nicole said. “This is a deal-breaker for me. You could be the most gorgeous, gorgeous guy, and if you came at me with bad breath, I’m like, no. If I say, ‘Breath on me,’ and I have to recoil, yikes, I’m out. You could not offer me enough money.”
Turns out, Alexander had bad breath due to his meal that day.
She said, “When Alexander Skarsgård ate a falafel sandwich before we did the scenes in Big Little Lies, I’m like, ‘No, no, no, Alex. I’m meant to be into you and kissing you — put away the falafel now.’ I’m sure he did not eat a falafel ever again. I said, ‘No more falafel. Not before you kiss, not before you make love.'”
Nicole and Alex both won Emmy Awards for their performances as a married couple with dark secrets.
