Jamie Lee Curtis Slams Plastic Surgery as ‘Genocide’

Jamie Lee Curtis is speaking out against plastic surgery and the use of AI filters in her latest interview. .

The 65-year-old Oscar winner sat down with the Guardian specifically calling out the rise of cosmetic procedures and AI-driven beauty filters. Jamie didn’t hold back, referring to the “cosmeceutical industrial complex” as a force disfiguring natural beauty and even likening it to a “genocide of a generation of women.”

For the interview, Jamie defiantly posed with bright red wax lips as a statement. The actress said she intentionally chose the exaggerated red lips as a rejection of chemical fillers and surgical enhancements that have become increasingly normalized in both Hollywood and on social media.

She also warned that AI beauty filters have “aided and abetted” toxic beauty ideals, making it even harder for women to feel secure in their natural appearance. “It’s fake. It’s all fake,” she said.

Her comments arrive just as she begins promoting Disney’s upcoming Freakier Friday sequel, aligning with her continued push for authenticity, aging with grace, and challenging impossible beauty expectations.

This also comes on the heels of celebrities being more open about cosmetic surgery with a list of celebrities who have confirmed they all had work done on their face.
