The Social Reckoning will reportedly tell the “true story of how Frances Haugen (Madison), a young Facebook engineer, enlists the help of Jeff Horwitz (White), a Wall Street Journal reporter, to go on a dangerous journey that ends up blowing the whistle on the social network’s most guarded secrets.”

Aaron Sorkin, who wrote the first movie, serves as writer and director on the upcoming film, with a release date currently set for October 9, 2026.

She is joined in the cast by newcomers Phillip James Brannon as Mary’s Husband and Chris Renfro as Mary’s Teacher, as well as original stars Bianca Leigh as Mary’s Chaperone and Tony Macht as Mary’s Husband’s Assistant.

Oh, Mary! is the first show in the 121-year history of the Lyceum Theatre to ever gross more than $1 million in a single week and the show has since broken its own box office record eleven times.

In an interview on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on Thursday (April 21), the actress shared that during one of her many appearances on the long-running TV show, she had accidentally gotten left in a body bag by production.

“It’s kind of a rite of passage for New York actors to be on Law & Order,” Jimmy began.

“Yeah, for like the first couple years of my career, it was only theater and Law & Order. So I did an order of SVU, I was a pedophile with vocal fry,” she recalled. “And I was a lesbian with acne on ‘the mothership,’ we called it, which is just the normal Law & Order.”

Jimmy then asked if she was ever a “dead body” on the show and the Glow star revealed she had played one on Criminal Intent.

“For the dead body, I was Fran Drescher‘s daughter, which is an honor, but I don’t know about that casting,” she explained, adding: “Fans will know, I was found naked in an oil drum. Vincent D’Onofrio, like, found my naked dead body.”

“This is my first job ever,” Betty recalled. “And I remember them zipping up the body bag. Vincent D’Onofrio had like, a grumbly scene over my body bag. And I just had to sort of be in there. And then they called cut.”

She went on to say that after it was announced the crew was breaking for lunch, she heard the footsteps of people walking away, leaving her in the body bag.

“And then 10 seconds goes by and I hear one far-away P.A. being like, ‘Oh my god.’ And [I hear] footsteps coming towards me and [the bag] unzips,” Betty continued, miming the hilarious scene.

Gaslit is “a modern take on Watergate that focuses on the untold stories and forgotten characters of the scandal – from Nixon’s bumbling and opportunistic subordinates to the deranged zealots aiding and abetting their crimes to the tragic whistleblowers who would eventually bring the whole rotten enterprise crashing down. The story will center on Martha Mitchell, played by Julia Roberts. A big personality with an even bigger mouth. Martha is a celebrity Arkansan socialite and wife to Nixon’s loyal Attorney General, John Mitchell, played by Sean Penn. Despite her party affiliation, she’s the first person to publicly sound the alarm on Nixon’s involvement in Watergate, causing both the Presidency and her personal life to unravel.”

The series premieres on April 24.
